Hair falling out after pregnancy

I have never had it this bad or during pregnancy but my hair seems to be falling out loads. When I wash my hair or brush it, it's like clumps of it. It's driving me mad, I'm finding my hair everywhere!! It's not the normal malting that you usually get. Do you think it's a hormonal thing after pregnancy!? Please tell me I'm not he only one!

You're not the only one, mines been shedding badly for about 6 weeks now, I'm surprised I've got any hair left, it's all over the place and seriously bunging plugholes, hairbrushes, falls over lo, it gets everywhere even in places that don't see daylight.... eek! x

Buy a tangle teezer brush if you havent already got one mine was recommended by my hairdresser and she also told me that at around 4 months it gets worse. And yep it's completely normal x

Yeah that's the same for me too lol, been only around 5-6 weeks! Oh it's just so annoying, finding on the carpet and in the kitchen! I have black hair so it's very noticeable! Lol x

My hairdresser explained this to me.

Your hair has three cycles during pregnancy it misses a cycle which is why some women find their hair fuller or have more hair growing on their body. After pregnancy the missed cycle begins again and you shed the excess hair so that new can grow and you go back to normal.

Hope that sort of made sense

The plug in my shower kept getting blocked over the amount of hair I shed after LO. It stopped about a month ago. Was so annoying even LO used to be covered in my hair. It's totally normal tho, so no need to worry. Xx

Mine is everywhere!!! It's very long so very annoying! How the hell does it get in places like the one or two that end up in lo's Nappies, ergonomics!?

Lol aww hun, its horrid int it, it should stop by about 6 months, mine was awful! It was every where! So in the end I had it all lopped off lol, that stopped it! Not suggesting you do anything that drastic lol but there is light at the end of the tunnel, your body will be normal again lol hug x

Totally sympathise, mine has been falling out in handfuls. I brushed my hair with Albert on my lap and the poor little thing looked like Cousin It

Mine has started to shed slightly. I know it's going to get worse Pity as I was enjoying having thicker hair than my normal really fine, greasy hair.
