ive just curled my hair with my straighteners (practising for leah's christening lol)
looks ok, but after an hour all the curls have dropped... what can i do to keep it looking like it did??

Did you use any product on it luv?

I've always needed something that makes it a bit crispy (iykwim) after the straightners have been used.

Use hairspray as well, and I always make the curl a wee bit tighter than I actually want, so that by the time I'm out it's relaxed a bit and looks like I wanted it to in the first place!

hmm thats a tough one. tbh when i curl my hair with straightners it always drops out really quickly.

The best thing i found was babyliss hair curlers.

they are ace cos you curl your hair round them then push up a lever and it holds the curl in place as it heats it. I spray each section of hair first with curling spray and then use it and it stays in all night long and the next day too! :cheer:

no i didnt use anything on it cos i was just practising so dont have anything to hand.
ive never used hairspray to be honest, always think it will make my hair look wet and greasy iykwim.
i used to have a toussled waver but that just made it look like huge crimps :puke:
i tried a curling tongue once but it made the curls too strong if you know what i mean, and i dont think my face shape suits that, so ive looked on youtube at videos on curling with ghd's and thats the one that works for me - the curls aren't tight, and it looks more bedhead-ish if u get me, which is what i wanted.
it's just keeping the shape i'm after

i put some spray gel whilst hair is in the straighteners, dont hold it too long though! and be sure to clean your straighteners after

You'll be best with something from the fudge range....

HAIR CEMENT

MEMBRANE GAS

They are excellent & highly recommended by alot of top hairdressers. Makes your hair look natural but glossy & it stays in place ;)
