Had my first labour dream last night!

well was rather odd:

Me and OH went to the hospital - i was 37 weeks as i had had some very mild contractions,

After afew hours of waiting around the contractions stopped so i asked the midwife if i could go back home but she said no, i had got to 37 weeks and suffered enough so she was going to give me an epidural and induce me

So as i was standing there she basically harpooned me with the epidural needle and i had loads of spinal fluid squirting out of the hole i asked her if that was normal - she said a little was! then she flung me on the bed and i lay there on my side waiting for it to take effect with a fountain of spinal fluid squirting everywhere



anyone else had some wierd labour dreams? i am certainly hoping that one doesnt come true!

i keep having really vivid dreams they r mostly about death!! not good!!!

scary dream i've not dreamt about labour yet but for a long time i dreamt about blood and periods obvioulsy because i've not had a period for so long and more lately i've been having dreams about seeing, talking to and holding my baby and dreaming about what he looks like.

Weird!

I've had one odd one too. It started with me in the labour room we had been shown on our hospital tour. Me and OH were in there and the midwife confirmed I was having stong contractions and the baby wouldn't be long. I had one contraction that was very very sore- even though it was a dream.

I then decided to go to he toilet which turned out to be like something from a five start hotel (I very much doubt it'll be anything like that in real life) When I'd been to the loo I unlocked the door and the midwife was outside looking for me and told me the baby had arrived and to come back to the room to meet her (the baby was a girl in the dream). I got back a lo and behold there was my baby and OH together.

i tend to have them on tuesday nights and they are directly linked to whatever we have covered in anti natal class that night, luckily we have now moved onto breast fedding!

That is how all of my labour dreams go as well. The first one had I told them to put it back as I didn't 'order' a boy! Yes I ORDERED my baby!
