First thread in tri 3
Baby weighs 2lb 7oz already (fatty), and was kissing his knee which I didn't even know is possible. But I still sleep on my tummy so I guess I've snapped him in half by accident
Then went to clinic, must have been a quiet day because I had my VBAC discussion 8 weeks early. I told them I wanted to go for it.
I was told I should have an epidural 'just in case' I need surgery in a hurry, which I'm not sure I agree with. She also said they keep 1 theatre free in case of an emergency, but what if theres another emergency and me at the same time???
She also said risk of a uterine rupture is 1 in 200, in which case baby would almost definitely die or at least severely disabled which scared me a fair bit !! But it's been nearly 10 years since my c section so I'm pretty confident.
She said if I went to 41 weeks they would try inserting a "cooks balloon" for 12hrs to see if that does anything to start labour, then an elective c-section.
Anyone heard of a cooks balloon or had one in?
