Had 16 week midwife appt today

Nothing to shout home about had urine sample taken, blood pressure done, bump was measured and heard heart beat!
In and out in 10 mins lol. Slightly annoyed as no one had told her about all our extra tests and scans OH had to when I went for a wee.

She seemed nice enough tho!

The comunication between all of the different departments is terrible, i always find that i have to fill them in on something that's happened. Sounds like she did all of the things she's supposed to, mine didn't do a urine sample or measure the bump - she just listened to the hb and did the blood pressure.
What did your bump measure?? Xx

I'm not sure she didn't say she just said perfect once she'd done it. I would check my notes but I left them in the car lol!

Aslo had my '16' week appt today at almost 18 weeks and it was also less than 10mins! Also usual midwife not there, was a nice but insanely dippy midwife who just kept conjuring up figures in her head " oh babies hb that was about 140-150bpm" without counting?! then filling in my notes either she's a very good guess o should maybe actually count? Then she asked OH what he did and he said "training to be an architect" to which she responded "oh a plasterer thats lovely" p we just laughed, thanked her and went on our merry way! lol. She didn't measure bump tho and hopefully normal mw will be abck for next appt which is not until 23weeks! Where is ther time going?!

LMAO she sounds like me!! Mine didn't count the heartbeat :s I was just more happy to have finally met her as another lady did my booking in!

my 16 week appoint was terrible.....she checked by blood pressure asked how I was feeling and that was it.....Ive changed mw as ive moved house n docs and my new mw is my OH godmother! The other Mw didnt even tell me the results from my bloods.....its only cos I read my notes after!
