Jam woke up this morn with his eyes practically stuck together with goo and it freaked him out bless him :(

Have bathed them in warm boiled water and given him calpol and hes gone back to bed - which is unheard of at 11am!!

Is there anythin else I can do for him than havin to call out of hrs doc up - hes drinkin and eatin fine but I can tell its irritatin him :(

Thanks girls

Your doing the best thing already, which is bathing his eyes using cooled boiled water.
If you went to the doctors they would tell you to do just that - They are reluctant to prescribe eye drops/ointments for babies.

Thanks Rachael, I doubted he would have been given drops or antyhin cos of his age so will keep on with the water

Hes still asleep :(

yeah its gone to full blown conjunctivitis now, his eyes are just weeping yellow gunge and its confusin him no end poor little man :(

am still bathin his eyes but I think its gonna get worse before it gets better!!

Awww poor man :( Do you think he caught it off another LO?

Hope he's better soon, lots of mummy hugs are required I think

This is so bizaare

Stanley had conjunctivitis last week, he was so scared when he woke up and coudn't see bless him! It went in a few days, we just kept his eyes bathed (and I picked off the eye-bogies  ) He had to stay off nursery until it was gone though.

Our little forum twinnies, eh!

omg u serious minxy?!

spooky!!!!

hes perked up abit now, is tryin to destroy everythin so he cant be that bad haha

I think its going around because Harrison has conjunctivitis at the moment (Along with a chest infection and cold :( ) and the Doctor gave me drops for him

If it's no better the doc will give him drops. Jude has had this on and off since he was born, our doc swabs his eyes and gives me the prescription, then rings and tells me whether or not ot start them depending on the results of the swab.

His eyes are clearin up quite quickly, its worse when he wakes up then it just wipes off - tis yucky tho :puke:
