Guess who's got their head down! (pics included!!)

Hi all,

well, I went for my moxibustion (treatment to turn baby) on Friday, and the midwife palapted my abdomen first. She said she wasn't comvinced he was breech so didn't want to go ahead without being sure.

She sent us for a presentation scan, which we got greatly reduced price because we were referred by the midwifery centre.

It was amazing!!!!!! I was scanned for 45mins, she measured and looked at everything. His head is abotu 8.7cm diameter, his heel to toes measurement is about 7.5cm and his estimated weight is 5lb9oz!!

Anyway, after being told by 2 GPs and a midwife that he is breech, the moment she put the probe on my belly, she said "there's the head" and it was down in my pelvis where it should be!!!!!! I am exstatic!! Don't have to have a caesarian now!! It just goes to show, they're not always right.

The sonographer then asked us if we wanted her to do a little bit of 3D scanning aswell (totally free!!), so we said "yes please!". I'm a bit far gone to get really good pictures but here are the ones we did get. It's soooo weird to think he's inside of me. I was looking at them last night and started crying, just makes it all so real!

Thatys brillaint news as they said the same to me and found out via sacan that shes head down in the pelvis. If you felt like me it would of been great relief and thinking phew!!!

definitely!! I've spent the last 3 weeks sticking my bum in the air and worrying about ECVs and Caesarians, and he may have been head down all along!! I've certainly not felt any large turning movements. So don't believe everything you're told girls!!

I am really really pleased LO is in right position...

I bet you feel 10x better for knowing and now can enjoy the rest of your time (if thats possible with lack of sleep discomfort etc!!)

My LO must be over 5lb by now and when I look at my tummy i can't believe she actually fits in there.
