Well now I have been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes the hospital has put me on a very, very strict diet and I now need to do a prick finger test four times a day. It's strange but I have only been on diet one day and already I feel healthier, think that could just be mind over matter. I
haven't felt queasy though which is brilliant.
The hospital are really keeping a close eye on me and Daniel until the birth, which I am now told is the 3rd April, not the 5th, it's kind of freaky if he's born on the 3rd as my darling Grandad died on that date.
I am having another scan in two weeks just to keep a check on bubs, his growth isn't too bad at the moment, so long as I keep off the sugar...damn right will I!
Anyway I have my fingers crossed that I won't have to take tablets or insulin regarding my blood sugar levels, but if I have to I will cross that bridge when I come to it. I will do what I have to for my boy.
I have an appointment next Tue to see how I am getting on.
Also I want to thank Jaydesmummy for putting my mind at rest regarding GD, I was really worried, but her PM certainly calmed my overactive brain...thanks hun
