Yeah I'm the same. I have the clinic on Tuesday then my consultant the following Tuesday. It's not ideal but on a plus extra monitoring means nothing will be missed xx
Having GD is not as bad as I thought it would be. I was tested at 28 weeks and was borderline. I been watching my diet and the only concern were my morning sugars even though we're in the range they were still in higher range so I was put on small amount of insulin at 34weeks. I only have 5 weeks to go. It's good that the insulin helps lower your sugar so baby won't have a hard time transitioning when born.
Hi all i had gtt at 28 weeks and got told the week after that i had gd.
I am now 36+2 and have had scans at 31, 34 & 36 weeks. Have also seen diabetic doctor and consultant every 2-3 weeks.
I have managed mine via diet and to be honest am still eating a few biscuits / chocolate most days - hasnt really affected my blood sugar readings, have had the odd random spike but all in all has been fine.
On wed this week growth scan estimated baby at 7lbs which is above average but they are not overly concerned as it is still within the top line on my graph.
I am booked in for induction at exactly 39 weeks but have a final appt with consultant next week where her and the diabetic doctor will review everything and may bring date forward to 38 weeks! I am sort of hoping they do as i am really thinking baby may be around 9lbs at 39 wks! X
Yeah I've had several scans, 28, 31, 33, 35 weeks so far and now I'm see my OB once week till he's born. I just had my 35 week scan and he is measuring week ahead and is 6lbs.
