Being sent for a GTT tomorrow - urgently as it needs to be done before 35 weeks. Had a second growth scan today and baby is still measuring very big, so that's why. I just don't understand why they didn't just test for it after my last scan. I'll be pretty annoyed if I've got it and nothing has been done for weeks.

On the other hand, probably my own fault for existing on sugar and little else for the last eight months lol

I was tested at exactly the same time - came back borderline so just had to adjust my diet for the last 5 weeks of pregnancy - it was hard being so strict on myself when all you want is chocolate and comfort food in those last few weeks - but totally worth it - my boy came out 8lb 15 (1 week overdue!!) so pretty chunky but still a straightforward water birth. Hopefully you will test negative though xxx

I had mine done at 35+2 for the same reasons and it came back clear. Was also slightly miffed that I didn't get it earlier for. I hope you pass it! At least you've only a few weeks to keep an eye on your diet, some poor girls have to watch everything for much longer :)

I've got a big baby and no gd, I had a big baby last time and no gd. Hope your test comes back ok xx

I got told told at 26 weeks I have GD, despite bmi being fine and no parental history. Currently 30 weeks and it really isn't that bad at all, I have a really bad sweet tooth and have found adapting recipes to be really good to get that fix! Hope you don't have it, but if you do don't worry at all, plus it won't be for long! I was upset at first but now see positives; I see baby more in scans, I won't go overdue, I will be monitored extra closely, and I won't get too overweight when full term (I hope!). I also feel more energised eating less rubbish, but I'm looking forward to packing my hospital bag full of treats! Xx

Oh yay! That's good :)
God I would LOVE to just go eat some haribos, or maybe a galaxy ripple lol...please eat something tasty for me! Xx

I'm sat waiting on my results for my GTT. Really hoping I get the all clear but after reading Deedees comments I'm not so worried :)

Just got my results and I don't have GD. They do want to test me after birth to check on me so makes me think my levels are still dodgy but not GD. I'm away home to have a glass of non alcoholic wine to celebrate being on holiday until 12th!!

I bought haribo to celebrate lol

So jel! I'm on insulin now as my levels weren't low enough on a morning! Oh well, 8 weeks to go until I can stuff my face ha! X

Oh no! That sucks. Do you have to change your diet after you've had the baby? I was told that if I had it, I'd have to make major life changes or risk type 2 later in life :/

Yeah I'm at a higher risk too, but not by much. She said there's a 75% chance I'd get it. .when I'm 100!! Theres no family history etc so she thinks it's unlikely I'll develop it. I think I will be more conscience ofvmy weight though now to try keep chances down- I stopped smoking back last Oct when we decided to TTC and I went from 10.5 st to 12 ,St in 5 months! Xx

I am 32+2 and told I didn't have GD and then got a call saying I actually do!! From what I was told today from the midwife you will be sent to a clinic to learn how to monitor your blood then have a meeting with a diabetes specialist. Not sure if that is routine everywhere but that's the plan here. I'm super nervous about it all too x

Yeah that's what I was told to.. Got to see a special medwife on Monday but dint tell me much els over phone, which don't help me to stop worrying in mean time :(
