I ordered a cot on wednesday from kiddie care which was meant to be delivered on Thursday, it didn't come and when I called they didn't really have an explanation, but said it will defo come today.

My buzzer went about 10 mins ago and it the driver asking with my delivery and ask me to help him up the stairs (I live on the 4th floor). I tell him I'm heavily pregnant and home alone so can't help, can he ask a passer by, he says there is no one around so he can't deliver it and will leave me a card! My oh is in bed as he's not long come home on a night shift, he heres be talking and gets up, he says to guy to just bring the items upstairs as we have paid for delivery to our door, the guy gets arsey and says there's no way he is carrying it up the stairs. My oh very reluctantly goes downstairs whilst i call kiddie care, and guy ignores him and gets in his van and has driven off.

The lady I spoke to says he should have delivered it and she's gonna get him to bring it back. So Im waiting for a call back to confirm. I'm fuming, what a complete dick!!!! If its a 2 man job why not send 2 men??? I wasn't asked to specify what floor I lived on when I ordered??

Has anyone had a bad experience with them??

Kiddicare have always been fab for us tbh, delivered to the nursery on the 2nd floor. I think I would have shoved hubbie out of bed earlier, not that he should have to do it but at least then I could complain with all my stuff in my house!
Xxx

Ive had fab exp from kiddicare with everything i ordered from cot to pushchair. Maybe a one off?? Xx

pregnant with baby no 2 ;)
sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 excuse my terrible spelling :P

Could have been a one off, they are coming back on Monday to re deliver as they said I have to arrange for someone to help, oh is home from work at 4pm so if it comes any earlier then I'll just have to get a refund as i don't want to go thru the palava again!!

Not happy :(

I've had a good experience with Kiddicare but I don't think you can blame them really, it's the delivery people they hire! Had loads of problems with other online shops with deliveries going missing or paying for next day and the package coming days later :wall2:
Sometimes it is genuine mistakes but other times, it takes the p*ss like in your case! I don't understand why they do the job if they can't be arsed to do it properly.

I've had nothing but good experiences with kiddicare including ordering at 5pm and it arriving the next day. Had a big cot delivered to the 4th floor when I lived in an apartment block - granted there was a lift.
I love going to the kiddicare merryhill store - they are really helpful! Took loads of time going out testing different car seats in our car and didn't give us a hard sell.
Sounds like the driver was having a bad day. Hope you got it re-delivered in the end x

Well it did get re-delivered in the end, it arrived at 5pm and luckilyy oh was here to help, the driver this time was actually really helpful and polite! It must have been the driver who was just an arse lol!!!

Xxxxxxzzx

Pleased you got it delivered! :) did you make a complaint about him?

I had a really bad experience with Mothercare driver, who left stuff in the rain on my drive because I wouldn't leave my few day old baby in the house on her own to watch his van whilst he unloaded? I live in a safe, busy neighbourhood I couldn't believe it! Luckily oh came home and was able to bring inside, it was a big changing unit - I couldn't lift that soon after my c-section! I complained and got a voucher which came in handy x
