Lara seems to be feeding excessively again at the moment [been like this for 2 days now] - she is coming up for 3 months so wondering if its another growth spurt..??

she had one at around 4 weeks and then at around 9 weeks.. I can only tell by the amount of time she wants to feed and the amount of dirty nappies!!! she is usually like this for 3 days and then goes back to normal again...

Is this usual? Should I expect similar spurts every 4 weeks or do they tail off a bit at a certain stage??

I've found that lily is very much the same, she too has a growth spurt about every 4 weeks she's 5 months now.

As they get older growth spurts do tend to happen less frequently.

Are you breast of bottle feeding?

Hi

I think at this young age the babies tend to have frequent growth spurts, if you think how rapidly they are growing and developing no wonder they need extra food to aid this!

It's hard when you're bfing to be sat down so frequently during the growth spurts but just try and relax and go with the flow. I noticed Olivia's growth spurts got further and further apart and now she's on solids I notice her eating more of those when she's going through one.

I bet the scales will reflect her recent growth spurt when you next get her weighed!
