Some places do it as routine. My hospital scans everyone at 32 weeks to check growth. But some places only do it if there's a reason to believe baby will be big/small. It's much more accurate later on in pregnancy as 20 week scan might not show if baby will end up bigger or smaller than average x
I wish they did those round here, my friend recently had her baby full term and she was only 4lb 6oz, but nobody can explain why, so I think everywhere should do them just to make sure all is ok.
But ignoring all that, enjoy seeing your LO again tomorrow!
I think they are starting to introduce them as routine everywhere but some places are just a bit slower! Well that's what my midwife and the sonographer said!
It makes sense to do them really as anything could happen between week 20 and week 40! xx
oh i see thankyou. I would like another but here in oxford they dont do them unless your on a research study or the baby is little. My bmi is 30 (they checked it when i was 4 months and i had put on weight) and i am measuring bigger so i may get one. They couldnt tell me what i was having aswell at 20 weekone.
