Hey girls

I don't have a little red book because they ran out down here and I'm still on the waiting list

When I took Farooq for weigh in this week he was 8lbs 3oz, which I was quite pleased about as that means he's putting on approx half a pound every week  but the health visitor at the centre gave me this little table on a piece of paper to transfers my weight records to so that I can stick it in the book when I get one....and she advised he was slightly below the line but since I'd already told her he'd cut himself back for 4-5 days and was now happily taking 4.5-5oz every feed she had no concerns and thought he was just catching himself up.

When I got home and checked the paper to see what she'd written before I told hubby I noticed that she's got his age as 9/52  :wall:
I know she'd called him 9weeks in the centre and I'd corrected her and said he's 5 weeks on sunday

So she's obviously charted the line on the graph wrong but she hasn't supplied me with my own graph......sooooooo to cut a long post short  can anyone check their graphs and let me know where he is on the chart if he was born at 6lbs 8oz and was 8lbs 3oz at just shy 5 weeks old

Thank-ies

Had a wee look at the boys graph and looks like he was bang on 9th centile line at birth and almost on it at 5 weeks (about a mm below) but if someone else could check as my maths is crap :rotfl:

Edit to add, do you want this graph? It's obviously not much use to us

Thanks hun.
I don't know if she plotted it right then and just wrote it wrong because she'd still got '9' in her head or what

I'm sure it was more than 1mm below when she showed me so maybe she did still plot it wrong.
If you have a spare stamp kicking around then it'd probably be quite useful if you didn't mind sending it my way :)
I know babies all grow at different rates but it's nice to see what the guide line is.

I shall stick it in an envelope if you pm me your address, it's just getting in the way of the girly charts in my book anyway

My HV did something similar - Becky had been something like 5.38 kilos one week, we went back two weeks later and the scales said 5.63 but she wrote it down as 5.36 and got all worried that she'd lost weight. I didn't have the heart to tell her but naturally she was a bit surprised when Becky had gained a pound and a half in a fortnight :rotfl:
