Do you have the grobag egg room thermometer?

If so, do you have any other room thermometers in your house?

If the answer is yes could you put both (or more) thermometers side by side and leave them for a while, then check to see if there is any discrepancy in the readings.

Reason being...

We bought one in January, but have been worrying about why our room is so hot ever since. When we checked it next to 2 other thermometers we have it seems to read about 1.5 degrees higher than the others.

I took it back to mothercare, who swapped it no questions asked. But the new one is exactly the same. So either all grobag eggs are calibrated wrong or both our other thermometers are wrong.

So if anyone can try this out and let me know what result they get I would be grateful!

Cheers.

havnt got one, sorry, but i thought you might find THIS interesting (read the reviews)

the monitor we are getting has a digital thermometer on it so ive decided against getting an egg. just gonna get a cheap plug in night light if baby really cant stand the dark (how me n OH like it)

Sounds exactly like our experience, lol.

Might just take it back and get something else then, shame, I only bought it 'cos I thought it was cute. :(

Thank you for posting about this then (plus the review site etc) I've been thinking about one too (for it's looks more than anything else) but might opt for something more efficient instead of 'cute' type thing.

I was thinking of purchasing one of these too, but am not so sure now.

Does anyone know if there's another digital thermometer which functions in a similar fashion?

we are getting THIS one. it is a monitor with a night light and digital temp display on the parent unit. the reviews are a lot better (but its cheaper on amazon tho)

Thats very cool, but I live in a tiny 1 bed flat so I have very little use for a baby monitor at the moment!

Maybe if we get a buyer soon....

I have one and it seems to be on red a lot only other thermometer we have is the surestart free one so will let you know

i found mine is reading around the right temp. When it says it is too hot in our bedroom then so dies surestart thermometer
