:offtopic: I've always wanted to use this smiley  apologies for putting it here, I wasn't sure where else it would go.

I'm trying to find a recipe for the blended green veggie soup often found in cafés and sometimes weddings. It's the kind of thing I would find so helpful for lunches, I'm running out of ideas beyond sarnies and cheese on toast! Does anyone have a recipe please?

Its usually seasonal veg
Like chard kale spinach etc plus some seasoning
Could be anything though x

The only green soups I can think of are celery (but it has to be double strained to get rid of any stringy bits) or a pea based soup. Most general veggie soups end up brown unless you really bias it towards a particular veg.

I love making pea and ham soup! I use a mixture of mushy peas from a tin and frozen garden peas with some potatoes and veg stock. Chuck in some meaty ham and its delicious! Goes down really well with he little one and freezes brill. Plus its cheap! X

Broccoli definitely goes green. My leek and potato soup goes a pale green, especially if I use a veggie stock cube rather than my usual chicken one.

I think broccoli might be the way to go, maybe some peas in there too? It's really hard to find the soup I mean but it's puréed and quite thick.
