hi everyone!!

Have just read the different threads on pushchairs, and car seats, and I am a bit puzzled as to what to buy!!! We use the car very often, and I have a back problem, so need something that is easy to use/fold, and not too heavy either!! (I know, I am very demanding! )

So, I have done some browsing, and came to this one: Graco Quatro Travel System and wondered if anyone could give me their opinion on it!

From pics and texts online, it seems a good compromise, but I'd rather have opinions of users than sellers!!!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks in advance!
Take care,

Mel xx

Hi!

I bought the sterling travel system by Graco, it folds easily and is lighter than the quattro. The quattro looks nicer and is easier to fold. howver, it is quite tricky to keep it fold, most of the time, the locking thing does not go into place, you have to put it yourself. The sterling one has the same easy system for car seat and it folds and lock ok.

Best thing for you is to do like i did, go to a specialised baby shop and ask to try both of them, the quattro is a bit chunkier folded and heavier but you might prefer it. also make sure it fits in your boot!!!! I went to Woolworth and the girls did not have a clue about anything so went to a baby shop, he folded and unfolded several, i pushed them, tried to fold and unfold them and then bought mine on e-bay  Well, he was selling them at £150 without the raincover, I paid mine £26 including P&P and raincover, and it is in excellent condition, hardly any scratches!!! I will buy a car seat brand new though and have it fitted by a pro, the other one from the system will be used in town or as a chair......

I got the Quatro travel system in sunset (orange and black). I liked it, it fits into my car boot (though I do have quite a large boot), and when I was pushing it around the shop I found it really easy to use. We had a few probs with the locking thing (it took us a while to find it) but once we did I have found it easy to fold and to lock into place. Plus it was lighter then some other systems I had tried and that clinched it for me as I too have had back problems. Babies r us did have a sale on with them, I would recommend going in and testing them out so you know what they are like

thanks girls,

I think I have to find a stockist for Graco products now, and see how it feel to use it. I have looked at others, but this one seems the best in term on moeny, as I found it on a website for £127, which is not bad at allI think, considering its possibilities and accessories.

Sarah,
I looked at your option, but the price is an issue for me :(

Futuremum, I will have a closer look at the sterling system once I have found a retailer, it seems to be much lighter, so...why not! :)

Thanks again, I will let you know what I decide....when I make my final decision, which might not be soon, as i always need to try so many different things before!!!!!!!!!

Take care,

Mel xx
