Hammering, drilling and sawing downstairs, opening up our understairs cupboard. The other houses in our road have one but we dont! Its the only convenient place I can think of to put a pram, so I rang a builder a couple of days ago and here he is! :yay:

He's going to do the entire job by end of today and it's only £60! I'm so thrilled :-) My husband thought I was mad to suddenly do it, but now its half done he can see the total logic in all that extra storage.

So happy to be moving forward with practical jobs. But do you think he'll clean up all the mess? It looks like a flash-bang has gone off down there.

Is anyone else going a bit bonkers with these type jobs too?

Not hugely, but I think thats more because we should be moving! Having said that just found a patch of mould by our front door *photo taken and letter written to the council* They made us live with it last year but this year we have a baby and I am NOT standing for it!

I am! We brought a house that needed every room doing 4 years ago and I'm now trying to rush through the remaining rooms! We've almost finished the big spare room which we'd started before I fell - my hubby didn't see the rush to get it finished until after our 20week scan, now we can move onto the nursery.
I've had this week off and I've had some double glazing men round to quote to change a couple of the windows which hubby doesn't think is necessary but I know he'll see the benefit once the windows re fitted! I keep thinking of jobs that need doing and it starting to annoy OH! x x x

Am also do massive declutter into the attic. I've had a ladder up there about 4 times this month putting more and more crap out of the way.

I just realised today that most of my wardrobe isnt going to fit me until at least next spring, so am going to put all my 'thin' clothes into bags and back into the roof I go to store it all!

Star I have been thinking of arranging my clothes cos I have nooooo room in my dressing room for all the crap I have accumulated
We need to sort out our cloakroom because all of the coats are in the nursery, and our lounge is a make-shift garage which we haven't bothered to sort cos we always use the sitting room instead. Our list is flaming endless of stuff we need to do :faint: x

Princess, you gotta get started! I already have to have summer clothes and winter clothes and store one lot because of having too many. Our nursery is currently 'my' bedroom (where i keep all my clothes etc) as well as my home office. We only have a two bed house. But having cleared out all clothing except for maternity I suddenly have loads more room! I even bagged up all my shoes / boots that have a heel higher than 2 inches. There is no way I'm tottering around on a 3 inch heel with a baby.

I find writing lists and crossing stuff off as it gets done rather fun! But I'm wierd like that.

I've just fixed the leg on a chest of draws with 'Hard as Nails' and have to wait 24 hrs before I can turn it back over and use it, and I'm really irritated by that! I just want to tick it off and move on, lol

I love lists as well, I think it's a medical condition  my problem is that I get bored with them half way through

I have actually today booked a skip for the next two weeks to throw out all the rubbish we have accumulated over the years and create some space for the baby. Cannot wait to get rid of all the clutter! Oh, and I keep pestering hubby about looking into having a conservatory put in presto if we can afford it, so that he can have his study in there and the baby can have a proper nice nursery without having to share with messy old dad!
