I have wrote this before I suffer from anxiety as I get closer to due date, my midwife have been lovely and she sorted out an appointment today for me to hospital to see an consulent about my anxiety and not sure what we going to talk about but I really hope it will helps and make me less nervous for the birth.. Have any of u been speaking to a consulent like that before? already been to hospital for walk and got alot of information about what they offer at hospital etc. Just not sure what I can expect to talk about today etc? x

I dont know what happens but just wanted to say thats great that ur mw has done that and really hope it helps you :+) xxxxxx and I look forward to hearing all ur new found tips afterwards xx

thank u.. xx Just want to be able to look forward to giving birth, im sure i will have a more positive experience this time, just hard to think positive!!

Hey poppit, yes I went to see a consultant coz Ihad a rough time with my LO ... just be honest honey and tell them your fears and if something is being said that is going to happen that you dont agree with, just say babe, its your experience its you going through it so you say what you want. Ive said that I will start naturally and take it from there and if I want the drugs I will shout (literally ha ha) and if there is a problem them go ahead and do a c section. They were fine. I cant see you having an experience like you had in Norway which sounded horrific. The only time they say you cant have an epidural is when you are too far along but other than that...I had to hold them off giving me pethedine last time. Does that help ? xxx

hi hun, thank u xx Yes it really helps to hear that they would even do c-section if it comes to any problems, I explained to my midwife about last birth and she was shocked they didnt offer me pain relief, the hospital I went to had bad reputation for doctors and not giving pain relief etc, was just not nice at all and didnt get the support I needed when I panicked and the pain was just too much, but have been to hospital and the staff there is sooo lovely, I think the hospital here in Harrogate seems very nice :) I want to see how it goes this time too, as they say its different to give birth when you are not induced? xx

I'm having the same issues, but not brought it up with MW. Interested to hear how you get on.

I'm anxious too as I was induced & my anxiety is heightened by the fact that it could be another terrible birth & i dont know what its like to go into labour naturally.

:)

I remember you saying and it was a horrible experience for you. I stand by the rule fo thumb.... COMMUNICATION... so if you are unhappy concerned or need something just say. Never assume they know and never be embarrassed to ask if you dont understand. You will not be treated like that here and you know Ive been round the block a few times....Ive never heard of anything like what you went through happening in this country. Keep us posted as to what happens and how it goes. Take a pad with question on it and take notes and if you are unsure after call them and ask them questions. I am a doctors worst nightmare ha hagood luck babe xxx
