OK my boy is just over 2 months old. The past week or so during the day he seems to be feeding non stop but he doesn't really seem to want it. I'll try and explain.

At night He feeds at 8.30PM then sleeps until 2am. This is fine and fits in to his normal routine from a few weeks ago. He will have another feed at 5 or 6 am then spend a few hours fully awake and happy. I'll walk the older kids to school then he has another feed when I get home at 9amish. After that he is all over the place. Sometimes feeding for just 2-5mins then obviously pushing away. He'll be OK for a while maybe sleep for 30mins or just be happy to play then he will be very unsettled. Sometimes I'll try and feed him and he'll go on but others he will physically push away (I do all the other checks like nappy etc). It goes like this until about 8.30pm.

I thought at first I was running low on milk but I just sqeeze my nip VERY lightly and it squirts out and is thick white. We have tried giving him some formula which he has taken before. Last night he had a fair bit (about 1oz) but then tonight he just kept pushing it out with his tounge. I though maybe it was too much foremilk but his poos are very yellow and every thing I express out is very thick and white.

I've breast feed my two other children and never experienced anything like this and it's driving me completely bonkers.

I forgot to mention he has 5 to 8 very wet nappies in 24hrs and one big poo that fills the nappy up each day.

Could he have reflux? Or do you have over active let down? My boy was like this from 3 weeks till 8 weeks and he has reflux, he s much better now on ranitidine and 12 weeks and much happier feeding.

How is his weight gain?
