Im soooo scared, im a proper needle phobic and I only have to catch a glimpse of the needle and/or my blood and I'll faint or throw up  :rotfl:

Jax

why not practice some meditation tecniques? DH is terrified of needles and he uses meditation in those cirmumstances

good luck honey, focus on LO in your arms

good luck  i cant stand needles. Last blood test i had i had DH holding my hand. I dont think saying "oh my god look at the blood sqirting into the tube" was going to make me feel more comfortable :rotfl:

I do a lot of meditation anyway, its my lifestyle, but yeah I hadnt thought of using it for that, good idea :D

I'll have my OH and my teenager with me so they can hold a hand each :D

 I'm sure you'll be fine GGG, take an MP3 or something to keep your mind off it. I love having them myself, I like seeing the needle disappear into my arm and all the blood spurt up into the tube :D

One word....EMLA!

After passing out at my 12 week bloods, I insisted on this every time.

Bizaarely, I'm not conciously scared of needles but seem to pass out whenever I have an injection :?

EMLA is a white numbing cream. You put a dollop on your arm about half an hour before and you can't feel a thing! It's normally for kids but i sweet talked the midwife into giving me a prescription! :D
