I have my boy name decided as I was so sure I was having a boy (no idea why!) anyway Dr at 13 weeks said he thinks it's a girl but to go back in a fortnight and confirm, personally I think it was far too early to tell and he could be wrong but it got me thinking about names. What do you ladies think about these....

Mona
Sara
Amira

Surname is El Hadidy.

My husband is Egyptian and we live in Egypt so my choices are limited to Arabic names x

I love all your names but Amira is my fav...its so pretty :) xx

Amira just came in to the running last week, mona is my husbands mum and was so set on it until my own mum didn't like it and it makes her think 'moany mona' arrrrrgh!! Lol. Amira is deffo growing on me xx

when i was little , if i moaned about something I was called mona lisa ... lol so i know where your coming from :) Amira is a lovely girly name I think, and Sara (my late grandmas name :) )

Lisa x

I love the name Amira, so beautiful with a lovely meaning...

I'm a huge fan of Arabic names, being half palestinian myself with an arabic name, I think most of them are beautiful.

I think my Mum would be really upset if I wanted to name my own daughter after my partner's mother. I've always said if I have a girl her middle name will be Kathryn after my Mum...

How about Zara as an alternative to Sara? Or you could spell it Zarah or Zahra. That's on my girls list...

My mum doesn't know its my husbands mums name ;) my mum is margaret so that's not an option for me. I thought Mona was quite modern which is why i liked it but Amira slowly but surely taking over.

Once knew a zara - didn't like her so that puts me off that. Lol so funny about names x
