I want to buy my friend a present, as she has done so much for me during my pregnancy and labour and since. She is a midwife and stayed with me for the full 2 and a half days of labour, taking unpaid leave from her work so she could be there, she has come to my house after a 12 and a half hour shift to help me with breastfeeding and so many other things. Now I want to buy her a gift to express my gratitude and I'm not sure what to buy. Her tastes are very different to mine so I wouldn't feel right picking her jewellery and I feel a giftcard lacks a bit of imagination. Any ideas, I wanted to get her something she could keep and was looking at spending up to £200. xx

What about a tree or flowering shrub that flowers at this time of year to symbolise what she did at that time iykwim? Xx

I'd buy her a gift certificate for treatments and lunch at a fancy spa, return the favour and let someone pamper her and maybe a nice photo frame And photo of her and lo. She's sounds like a great friend :)

I know you say you wouldn't pick jewellery but how about a Pandora charm bracelet, you could pick a couple of charms then she could personalise it herself xx

This sounds perfect!

I was going to suggest a pandora too... You get a really nice pleated leather one, in different colours. That's what I have. It's lovely. And you could pick some charms that mean something to you both... Like a loveheart... Make it really personal!
I also love the spa day idea. Great to relax and get pampered!x
