Gestational diabetes

Has anyone had to deal with this during any of their pregnancies?

I got a positive result for it today, and need to go back for more, but my brain is going mad and freaking out!

I had this with my pregnancy and was absolutely devastated when I had to go on to insulin. I am now thirteen weeks post birth and just had another GTT which showed that I don't have diabetes but do have some glucose intolerance so have to be careful as I could get diabetes later on in life. Please dont get too freaked out, easy for me to say i know but just follow the advice you are given and remember that this can resolve after the birth. Concentrate on doing what is best for your baby. Are you planning on breast feeding? I was but that kinda got messed up when baby went to scbu and was given a bottle.
