Hi everyone,

I have heard that through babybond.co.uk you can book gender scans for £75 from 16 weeks - just wondering if anyone else had had one of these and how reliable they are so early?
I really want to know the sex of my baby so i can buy some things that are not yellow! :rotfl: But I dont want it to be a waste of money....

Any thoughts?

I'll let you know after the 31st March piglet, as i got mine booked with babybond then i know what you mean about the buying thing, its driving me and DH mad not knowing lol

BTW

Welcome to 2nd tri

I went to Babybond in London, £75 for the gender scan although they tried to upgrade me to the £120 2D package also, I said it was pointless as we were considering a 4D later on in the pregnancy...whether or not we do is another matter!!

Anyway she was confident only seconds into the scan that it was a little boy. She spent time with us going through the heartbeat, the little fingers, toes and took plenty of photographs - we saw the boy bits in vivid detail and to be honest I'm sure I saw the same thing on my 12 week scan too but my scanning lady was being a misery moo and wouldn't say anything but then did call him a "HE" so she gave the game away too!!

I was really happy with it, the staff were nice, the offices were ok but really spacious (waiting area a tad crowded but I was only sat there for about 5 minutes!) I was seen early and the even included my step-son who wanted to come and see also so a nice experience. I'd recommend them.

Oh and I was 16 weeks exactly on the day of my scan and it was still spotted straight away!

Oh and just meant to say that gender bits and pieces become visable from week 12 so your basically talking 4 weeks after they have started to appear and things grow a lot in just 4 weeks - so I don't think 16 weeks is too early to tell at all. A friend of mine in the States upgraded her 12 week scan to a 4D package and they told her there and then what she was having - they were right too!! :D

Hi Feefee, thanks for the welcome - I've kinda butted in a day early tho! :rotfl: Hope I dont get kicked out! haha.

I will be 16 weeks on 29th March and really wanted to book mine for 31st March on a saturday!! How bizarre is that?!! My local Babybond is only 6 miles away in my nearest town of Bridgnorth, so i think its a sign that i just have to go! :rotfl:

Can't believe I'm only just over 3 weeks away from possibly finding out if I'm having a boy or girl!

And thanks Nicola, that sounds great, I'm all excited now!

I know what you mean!!!
I will stick everything on DH wanting to go shopping on the way back from the scan, worrying thing is i wont want to stop him :rotfl:

Go on book yours too!! Be my gender scan buddy lol

I had a gender scan with Babybond when I was 16+1 and it was pretty obvious it was a boy lol, I was surprised at how clear it was for 16 weeks, especially as the midwife at my 12 week scan said it was impossible to determine the sex until 20 weeks at least  ...

Looks clear enough to me :D

Good god - I think even i would have spotted that one! WOW!!
I'll try and book mine soon!!!!

Hi

kirsty  nice pic!! i was bummed out that they didnt give me a pick like that they took some good shots and my dad wanted proof but had to take my word for it, i dont think its possible to mistake a girl for a boy its just so obvious.

pigletpoo with Kiara i went for my 16 week scan and they said they could not tell the gender yet aso i went back at 22 weeks and found out, but maybe its easier to tell for boys?
