gender qs - scan and birth

hi everyone .. im new here so just geting used to the site.

Im 22 weeks pregnant. i had a scan last week n was told i was having a boy. I was delighted as previously i have two girls. Just wondering if anyone here has found out the sex of there baby at a scan to find out it was wrong at the time of birth? Im getting paranoid now, i keep thinking now what if its wrong. I dont plan on going over board on the shopping but i am worried that i get my hopes up n than i get a surprise at the end. Obviously a girl would be loved just as much but to have a boy would be a dream come true - i hope that doesnt sound bad.

I haven't heard of that happening in the 10/11 months I've been a member of this forum (and we have births almost every day here!)

I do know that Little Bump (Sam) was told at her 20 week scan she was having a boy but at a later scan (around 27 weeks I think) was told baby was actually a little girl! Sure enough, baby arrived and is a beautiful little girl...

That's the only case I've heard of though babe so congratulations on your little boy! xx

My auntie was actually told that she was having a boy only to have a girl but I think that it is very very rare! She is the only person I know to have that happen!? I have had 3 already and they were right each time! Boy, boy, girl! They have said girl again this time and have painted the room pink and bought everything pink so they better had be right lmao!

I dont know of anyone personally...they are usually pretty accurate these days. Generally if they are unsure of the sex at a scan, they will just tell you that they cant see it. I had sexing scans with both my babies and they were both spot on x

I'm sure there was somebody pregnant at about the same time as me on here who had inconslusive scans.. boy then girl then boy, but I can't remember who, or what they had in the end

I can't help though, I stayed team green through til the actual birth.

Lil miss had a willy and some testicles at my 20 week scan... and 3 weeks later they had vanished now I have a lil miss.... its a good thing I had low fluid levels and need that extra scan or lil miss would have had all blue stuff.... as it was she had to put up with a blue nursery, some boy clothes and a blue pushchair..

ReallY!! Wow ... i dont know what to think now
im i scotland we only get one scan which is the dating scan ... wot happenned was i had a bleed at 17wks n was therefore given a scan they than seen something near the babys heart which they needed to look at in more detail therefore gave me a scan with doctor/consultant at 20 wks.

The hospital has a no tell policy so i didnt ask, the doctor herself asked me after doing her checks if i wanted to know - i said ok

She said it looks like a boy ... i asked if she was sure? .. she said wait ill double check

Doctor "oh maybe i got it wrong, i cant see anything now - it cold have been the cord"
5 mins later
Doctor " im doubting myself now it could be a girl" - "I'll send someone else in to check ive got it right with the heart n she'll be able to confirm 4 u"

2nd consultant comes in and after checkng baby over says we have a policy of not telling BUT since you want to know - its a boy ... she was quite stern and serious that i didnt want to even ask if she was sure lol

My notes have boy written in it.

So what do u think of that, boy or girl? lol
