Well after being sent back to the doctor by the health visitor over the gaviscon not fully curing her silent reflux he just said to leave her on it cos he wasnt putting her on anything seen as she was still gaining weight and not vomiting,

didnt seem to care that she screams with pain just said hopefully she grow out of it by 3 months... shes only 5 weeks now

anyway gonna try mixing it up like u do for BF and give it while after her bottle see if it works better

just wondering if anyone else has done this and if it worked?

Ie done that once and really struggled to get it into her as was like 4 syringe fulls as she wouldnt take it from bottle after a feed.

How long has she been on it now? XX

she was just over a week on it, i just mixed it up and put it in a bottle, yesterday i gaive it straight after and this morning about half hour after just cos it wasnt made and she was being a nightmare so it took me that long to get it ready

just have to trial and error i guess, she wasnt that keen on taking it from the bottle this morning but i just kept putting it back in her mourt and in 3 or so goes she had it done , she,s asleep now but so far no reflux so fingers crossed

did you find it worked for your LO

Shes been on it for nearly 2 weeks, she is better but still quite sick. I uped her dose as when went to dr she was just under 10lbs and now over so giving her two sachets we are on comfort milk as well and need to make that from fresh which is a pain so stick it in with that.

Ive always out it in her bottle apart from that once and definately seems better. With the comfort milk its like ubber thick now so try to keep it warm throughout the feed! LOL X

Was going to say hows your LO poo's? ALyssia seems to be going a lot but its like a play doh consistancy?! X

Hi ladies my boy is 7 weeks and is on gaviscon 4 days now, I am bf and I mix 1 dose with 15 ml of bm otherwise he won’t take it, i gave it to him after feed but he was still vomiting so now he have it before and he is fine. I found it easier to give it before feed when he is hungry than when he is half asleep and content

yeah iv upped the does to 2 sache now cos she was 10 ib 4 at weigh in on wednesday, I wanted to try a comfort milk but was told i couldnt while on gaviscon, good to know it works ok for you might try it if all else fails

defo having poo problems though, she struggles sooo much n does be in so much pain with it, as much as the reflux at times so givig water and have lactoluse for when its very bad, when she does go its playdough to hard , i dropped her nighttime gaviscon to help with the constipation as the reflux isnt as bad then

I spoke to cow and gate cos I thought cant give together but you can just need to make from fresh everytime or have a flask for over night feeds thats the downside of the comfort. But I do think cos it for colic and constipation she it being kept regular due to the milk she goes like 4 times a day but as I say playdoh like. I try to give her water too but she will take about an oz a day if that!

Magdalana is you lo less sick now you are giving it before feeds?

Yes, he is less sick now , maybe once a day, personally I found it better to give it before feed.
