I've just had a phone call from one of my work colleagues to ask if i was pregnant and to say everyone knows I am. I'd told two people at work who I assumed were friends. I know they would have known eventually but it was my news to tell!! I'm gutted almost cried when she said :(
I've now got to tell my boss !! Frick!!!

Ohhh jeez hun that's bang out of order! Have the two girls said anything or apologised? I would have to ask them about it if that was me x

Definiely agree with Louize - thats really out of order. Definitely ask them what's going on.

Whoever is a blabber mouth needs a right slap. It's your news to tell in you own time.

I've asked and they have denied it, one of them said another colleague asked about me as she guessed from my fb statuses. I've just looked back through and not a chance it only says I'm tired!!!

Soooo want to go mad!!! :(

id delete everyone from work from my fb if i actually posted on it as it usually causes nowt but trouble to have work colleagues know about your personal life and thoughts/feelings.

Hate to say it Sue - but maybe that is what happend. When I told my Gran the other week - she said she had pretty much guessed from what I had on Fb - and the only thing I had up was a post about being tired.

Considering I was suffering from extreme exhaustion the month before - which was so bad I actully went to the doc, I didnt quite get how she got it from that. but you never know.

Maybe its just a case of folk jumping to conclusions - which just happen to be correct this time.

We just got married in March - and folk have been continually asking if im pregnant - which im now finding it difficult to deny. lol

When I found out I was pregnant ( at 5 weeks ) i had to tell work pretty quick ( think I was about 8 weeks ) because of the place I work and patients can be violent, anyway, I sent an email to my boss and siad it was very early days and could I please be moved discreetly or just not left alone etc for abit until I was 12 weeks ! the next day I went in and the whole place , I mean easily 200 staff, were congratulating me ! Problem is , we hadnt told either set of parents yet, let alone anyone else :(((((( !!!

Oh how bad are those colleagues. I think deny it and you have no need to tell boss yet. Then anounce it at 12 weeks plus or when is right for you. If they talk they talk , they have no facts, do it on your terms

My work just came out and asked me as I was eating dry crackers every 5 minutes. I asked them not to tell anyone as I'm not 12 weeks yet, we went out on a work do and my boss announced it over the table that I couldn't drink. They all just looked at me!! So don't worry Hun I know how you feel. Also my parents have told all my aunts and uncles so I haven't really told anyone myself.

Bitches eh? Well only me & my hubby know. thats the way were keeping it. Till 12weeks, im only 5 weeks now but in the evening my belly is really showing. Im having to wear baggy tops etc to hide it. Not sure if we will be able to keep it a secret for another 7 weeks :( xx

argh i hateeee it when this happens!! like you said its your news to tell!! :wall: x

yeah i had a work mate who blabbed about me being pregnant last year, i only told her because she was pregnant herself so i thought she would no not to tell people. i misscarried the baby, i had 3 weeks off, my boss was a bloke he knew why i was off because i had to tell him, explaining them sort of issues to a man with no kids was difficult for us both (he didnt blab). anyways i got back people though i was on holiday, the silly moo had blabbed to everyone they all congratulated me and i had to explain that i had misscarried. i found it so hard to tell people about it, but i had no choice. work friends wouldnt talk to me for weeks because they felt uncomfortable. i would off rather knowbody knew. They all wonder why i didnt say anything until i was 20 weeks this time x

Oh mrsH that's awful, it's a shame when trust is broken. I think unfortunately we learn by our mistakes and I certainly won't be confiding in them again :(

Thanks ladies, can we gang up and ho beat em up lol xxxx
