My 6 month old was being treated for a ear infection with Amoxycillin. She now has a huge full body rash - little red dots all over her. The dr told me to stop the medication and monitor her - but I am really scared now!! Has anyone else had this happen?

sounds like what i had when i took penicillin- i am allergic to it- its an allergic reaction. the rash started on my face, then moved down my body reaching my feet last! is that how hers went? its probably really itchy so stock up on calamine and keep her skin cool. i think i slept on a wet towel when i had that rash- it was awful- and i was 16 years old too! poor little thing. i do hope she's better soon

Same here... I get puffy eyes and I start with vomiting and diarrhoea too...
Think thats what they mean by monitor. Just remember that your LO is allergic to Penicillin so if anyone asks if she is allergic to anything in the future, then thats it...
