Hello everyone, I'm new here tonight! Was just looking for a place to vent my frustration really, been trying for a baby for 7 months and I really thought we'd done it this time - had a few pregnancy symptoms and started to spot but convinced myself it was just an implantation bleed - but no, I'm properly on my period : (
Really fed up, especially as my periods are so irregular and I never know when to do ovulation tests. This month is was 31 days, last time was 35 days, the time before was 33....it's so hard having so long to wait before I can test!
Some background - I'm 31 & husband is 32. We're trying for our first. GP thought I might have PCOS but consultant says no. So we just keep on trying!
Thanks for listening to my rant!
PS I've been reading the forum and it's probably really obvious but I have no idea what any of the acronyms mean! Is there a part of the forum that explains them all? Eg TF, BFP etc etc! Thanks!

Hi Maggymae, welcome to the forum.
It is so hard to keep on going with ttc but here you will find lots of ladies going through the same and lots of inspiring stories to. bfp is a big fat positive ttc is trying to concive.
I find that my journal in ttc is a great place to let out all the feelings and tiny observations that might convince friends and family that you are crazy. I can recommend doing one.
Good luck on your journey and hope you have a bfp in no time at all.

You can get very cheap ovulation indicator tests (LH leutinsing hormone tests) from ebay for around 30 for £3 this means that you can test every day without it costing to much same for preg hcg tests.
x Daisy

Thank you Daisy I'll look into the ovulation testers on eBay, and the blog sounds like a good idea. Thanks for replying x

The journal is excellent I wish i Had known about these sites when I was TTC. Unfortunately it took me 3 years, I have every test under the sun and all came back fine...made it frustrating as I had nothing to blame (does that make sense or just sound mad? Ha ha possibly mad)

I can honestly reccomend the hardest advice to do...relax.

I went all baby making crazy, doing everything voodoo and mythical :) and it took a quicky and past my ov date!

But hopefully you will not be trying for too much longer, I know it gets very upsetting and you can become so disheartened but knowing you are not alone and reading other people's stories can really help. eBay is fantastic for deals on ov tests, high,y reccomend as like daisy said, you can test every day wit little expense.

Good luck wit your journey xx

 Thank you Kelly and congratulations on your pregnancy! It is nice to talk to other people who know what it's like. I do know what you mean about it being frustrating having nothing to blame!

I will keep on trying! X

Hey and welcome!
I just recently joined and feel very happy that I'm not the only one alone with these feelings etc.
Me and my husband have been trying for 4 years, currently with the infertility clinic.
They arranged a basic test which I think would benefit you. Ask your dr's if the can arrange a day 21 of your cycle progesterone blood test. This can see if your progesterone levels have peeked and therefore your most fertile day of the month. I'm on a 31 day cycle and its thought my most fertile days are day 23 -25. Was also told not to have intercourse like rabbits. Once every 2 days is perfect as it gives time for the sperm to grow back to its normal levels. Hope these little pointers help to that BFP (big fat positive) ;-) xx
