Just seen on twitter that tesco are apparently selling formula cheap!

It was by a bf tweeter (who said she complained about it. Each to their own) but just thought a few of you may be able to get in quick

Can't find it online hun would only b follow on if anything anyway as don't think they r allowed to put first stage milk on offer xxx

Just found it it is sma toddler milk £2 off xxx

Yeah they can't put first milk on offer due to government breastfeeding recommendations until 6 months, only able to get follow on milk or toddler milk on offer. Not sure why it has to be marked up so much price wise anyway, I understand it's to encourage more women to breastfeed but I honestly don't think many women consider it in this way - I would much prefer to breastfeed but it wasn't meant to be until 6 months with this pregnancy unfortunately :(

Really annoys me. I'm already psychologically punishing myself for not being able to breastfeed, now the government puts the boot in financially as well!!

I think that's why this person was complaining. Maybe it was an isolated case?

Boots have follow on milk sale too but they told me they not aloud reduce first milk cos of government same reason you can't get points for milk or use points to pay for it which is very unfair if you ask me

Tbh it really annoys me that they say having offers in formula reduces bf rates I wanted to bf I tried to bf but i was too poorly and my baby was starving so he is ff and the price of formula had nowt to do with it. It's never gonna be cheaper than bf after all ;) I think most slightly educated women would prefer to bf if they could tbh

Totally agree!

WSS i agree too, really annoys me that formula is so expensive, i mean i have no milk now and what if i was skint? What do they think i could do? x
