Omg i swear my minds getting worse  Earlier on this afternoon i had to go and get DS from school which is about a 20 minute walk from my house so i came out with my DD in her pushchair locked the door and took the key's out (so i thought) Anyway when we got home i was looking in my pocket and on the buggy for my key's but couldnt find them thinking id dropped them somewhere i was pannicking a little here. It was then that my DS turned around and said "Mummy why are your key's in the door"?. OMG how stupid can i be i really thought id taken them out. I mean any burglar would have had a field day at my stupidity :wall: I darent tell hubby he'd really have a go.

Well, i am glad to hear that i am not alone!! I have managed to leave my hair straighteners plugged in and switched on twice in the last month!!! They were on for hours before i realised  I dread to think what could have happended.

The other day i was making dinner for us and the timer went off on the oven. It was beeping away and instead of turning the oven off, i just pressed the timer button to stop the beeping - well on my oven, when you do this the oven continues to cook iykwim. It was another 20 mins when hubby asked where dinner was as he heard the timer go off ages ago!! Needless to say we ended up having a takeaway that night!

i did the exact same thing with the keys in the door a few weeks back but OH was with me so I couldnt get away with him not knowing... hes now in charge of keys

so it does happen to others :rotfl: i closed the car key in the front door last week and bent it and lots of times i go out shopping and forget half the stuff or go up stairs for something and cant remember what ive gone up for so have to come back down and rethink :D
