First scan. Bowls outside body

Hi I had my first scan today, turns out im only 10 weeks and 3 days.
The lady said that the bowls were outside of the body still so I have to go back in about 3 weeks to check if everything is ok.
It was amazing to see my baby for the first time, we saw its little arms and legs moving.
I shed a tear, it was a great feeling seeing it for the first time

Glad you got to see your baby.

My best friend's little girl was born with her bowels on the outside of her body, she is now a very healthy, active nine year old who had no problems at all after having the corrective surgery at birth.

Thats good to hear. The lady said its normal for 10 weeks and should go back in by 13 weeks, so hopefully everything will be fine at next scan.
