First period?

I think I am getting my period - I had a section just over five weeks ago and I was wondering is it ok to use tampons now?

I'm on my first one (cos of breastfeeding) and I wondered this also. i'm using towels until I know for sure, *just in case* there's any chunky bits still due to come out that hadn't quite cleared after the birth. Sorry for TMI. It's been ok though so next time I may well use tampons...

I had a section 8 weeks ago and had my period last week. I used tampons and was fine.

OMG I've not even finished bleeding from giving birth yet
