first period?

hello just wondred how quickly u normal periods started i was bleeding till ethan was about 5 1/2 weeks then i had a week free then i had what i thought was my first period but it lasted 9 days then i had 4 days free and now ive had a slight bleed for te last 2 days does it sound normal or should i go see my gp?any advice would be great as im a bit worried thanx girls

That does sound about normal Zor-El, mine were all over the place, i bleed for about 5/6 weeks after giving birth, then 2/3 weeks later had what i thought was a period but only lasted a few days and was quite light, then about a week later i DID have my first proper period and OMG sooooo heavy and painful!!!

No sarah dont worry! everybody is different , some people dont have their first period until 10/12 weeks after! dont worry hun!

My postpartum bleeding completely stopped at 5 weeks PP. I got my first AF at 10 weeks PP. I've had 2 complete cycles since and AF was so heavy both times, the cramps aren't nearly as bad as pre-pregnancy though! So hooray for that!
