First period after having baby

Is it just me or is it painfully heavy & goes on forever?!!?!?!

The thing is i'm taking my pill & still bleeding more heavily then I ever have in my lifetime - is that normal? Its not dark old blood either this is bright red fresh blood & its been gushing for 2 weeks now!

mine was the normal length but it was definitely heavier!

My 1st one was double the lengh and VERY heavy. I was on the pill too!

im on my first one now - been on it 2 weeks tomorrow an used to only be 3-4 daysQ!

My first one was almost frightening it was so heavy!
I've never had heavy periods so that one was a SHOCK!
Took a while for them to settle down again but they have now.

My first period lasted less than 24hrs, was a lot lighter than normal and wasn't at all painful, and I didn't have it until Ellie was 9months, However I am still breastfeeding so I guess that is the reason.
