i know im still ttc , but how do you feel about the first name having the same letter as last name ?

i REALLY love the name paige if i was to be lucky to have a lil girl.

but my last name is platt

do u think paige platt sounds awfull ?

theres loads of people with names like this but whats your oppinion?

Do you think having your initials P.P. would make people think of pee pee? I have no idea, but it might be the sort of thing that amuses LO's . It is a lovely name :D

thats the thing kids do pic up on abreviations alot
and they use it too, kids are so mean

I love the name Paige, my niece is called Paige....so cute!
We had the same problem......
We would like to call our LO Darcie (if its a girl), and our surname is Darling.
Weve decided to have Olivia as a middle name to break it up abit, so it will be Darcie Olivia Darling (DOD :rotfl: ). You could also choose a middle name to break it up?
Some people still dont like our choice, but in the end we thought sod it, we really like it, and if you listen to everyone you will never decide on a name!

I think it sounds ok, i have the same prob, i like all L names Luke, Layla, Lilly but my surname is Lane!

Don't forget girls may change their surnames when they get married anyway.

id thought of pp , forgot pee pee tho :wall: oooo not hat i ahve to worry for a while huh , just love the name lol

My initials are TT and I never seemed to have any problems with that.
Paige is a lovely name.
I think kids are more likely to pick up on the surname for a nickname. my nickname(s) also rhymed with 'Tuck', leave it to you to guess!!!

I wouldn't have thought of PP to be honest, initials are funny things, my friends was MFI but no one ever took the mick in a nasty way or called her it. The name of my angel niece was Faye Ann Taylor but again no one ever picked up on it. How often do we use our initials though???? Mainly it would be P Platt and that looks perfectly normal.

well my little boy is going to be

Jack Ryan Jeffs.. so hes gonna probably end up JJ

but i think with a surname with a J it doesnt matter what i called him coz it cud go on for ever as in

AJ
BJ
CJ
DJ etc lol so i cudnt win

so if you like the name then go for it :)

I discounted all names that began with 'M' because our surname is Mabbs, which in itself sounds comedy enough without me adding one of my unusual names to it.

Shame because I had loads of M's too.

If it was a nice surname I wouldn't necessarily rule it out though.

My nephew is Jack James and his nickname is JJ which i think is cute, he even had it on the back of his football top which looked really cool :D

Hiya

My surname is Watson and i called my daughter Willow which i was a bit worried about i mean how many more W's, but i made it Willow-Rose to break it up a bit and now i can't imagine her being anything else.

awww , some loverly names ! fingers crossed one day i ahve a girl huh !

Gem, MIL bought us a baby name book and a baby haynes manual, you'll have to come over and have a looksie :cheer:

My nieces initials are PP and never even thought of Pee Pee until reading this!! I dont think people pay any attention to initials.

Just go with what you like

Well i liked Harley as a boys name nut Harley Hellewell was definatly i no no, so i called him Taylor James Hellewell!

I had a problem with this as well. For a boy we really liked the name Luke but our surname is Lloyd and this really doesn't go, it sounds like a creature out of star wars. Luckily we had a girl and called her Sophie. I think it depends on the name and the surname but I think that Paige sounds ok with yours.
