Fingers

Not sure if this is in the right place but Angel has just recently got in the habit of sucking on her 1st 2 fingers. (It used to be her fist) But now she is sucking that hard that she makes herself throw up! You can hear her choke on them and it really does bother me.
Is there anything i can do to stop this? Anyone else have this problem? She's too young to be bulemic! Lol

We're EXACTLY the same! She has totally ditched the dummy now in favour of her fist and fingers. On Monday when she was at my mum's she got her fist completely into her mouth and almost stuck and she started to gag.

Would be interested to hear what others think too!

Mine likes doing this too. He's been doing it for a while now & I've put it down to teething, cos just about everything goes in his mouth. When he grabs my hand to put in he chomps down really hard with his gums rather than sucking!

Angel just sucks. She even does it to go to sleep. She's never wanted a dummy. I tried it again the other day and she just gags on them.
But she just doesn't seem to learn that sucking so hard makes her choke and throw up. I'm getting quite concerned about it.

Luke does the same. I just leave him to get on with it now!

Theo does this, he tries to get both fists in he is always hungry

Calleigh does this also. She tries to ram her whole fist in there but then just settles for a few fingers. Which she often makes herself gag with.
I dont think there is anything we can do to stop them doing it to be honest. I just keep giving her toys to chew/suck on instead until she drops the toy and finds the fingers again

I'm probably just worrying too much. It just seems to be all the time! While i was sat eating tea all you could hear was her gagging. She lives with her fingers in her mouth these days.
I'm one of these people that panics about everything i think!

Yep, Sprog does this too - first two fingers, straight down his throat. He doesn't even get as far as the sucking. The gagging sounds are horrible. I've been wondering if I need to mention it to the health visitor, so am glad to see I'm not alone!

Our LO has been pretty much sucking her thumb exclusively now (no more other fingers and fist). I don't intervene but just wonder what I should do later if she continues

She has puked a few times too...
