Hi everyone

I'm about 7 weeks pregnant and have had some strange symptoms for the last 2 and a half-3 weeks. I'm not even sure if they're pregnancy related or something else. I first noticed a tremor in the middle finger of my left hand. Sometimes this occurs at rest and sometimes after movement or after holding my hand out in front of me. It also sometimes affects my little finger, but not as much. I have a slightly odd sensation in my hand, fingers and arm at times too, such as a tingling/ slightly numb sensation. I know that there is something called carpal tunnel syndrome that can affect pregnant women, but tremors don't seem to be a symptom. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced tremors/ similar symptoms in early pregnancy and did it last? I spoke to my doctor the other day about it, but I wasn't experiencing the numbness/ tingling at the time, just the tremors, so he said it might be down to my hormones. I'm just so worried because everything on the internet seems to suggest Parkinson's disease 😓

Could it be the carpel tunnel pressing on a nerve? I developed carpel tunnel after having my little man (oddly not during pregnancy!), reduced symptoms massively by losing a bit of weight, and now they're coming back! A friend of mine gets awful carpel tunnel and is in massive pain with it - mine just tends to happen at night and takes a while for my hand to come back to life!!! X

I've had something similar but not pregnancy related for me. I have a bad back and it's affected a nerve in my neck which has a swelling on it. It dies that to protect itself. This then causes numbness tingling and if I over work it tremors in my fingers hand elbow and arm. Physio and posture improvement is how mine was/is treated.

Thanks for the replies guys. I had a really good day with it yesterday and I barely had a tremor. Had a few in my little finger today though. Feels like I've not got full control over my hand. I guess it could be carpal tunnel or I might have damaged a nerve. I didnt realise nerves sometimes became inflamed to protect themselves. I'm wondering if one of my nerves might be inflamed.
