I have posted about 3 weeks ago about my son Bailey still only taking 1-2 oz every 2 hours I have managed to extend this by half and hour and he takes 2.5 oz now.
I got desperate and started him on son baby rice at 12 weeks and for 2 weeks he has been loving it, he now has a little bit of rusk for breakie and a little rice with vege mixed in for taste for lunch and what milk he will take he still goes every 2 hours but he is gaining a bit more weight now.
Anyway I changed doctors this week as I felt my own Gp wasnt very interested her comments would be he content let him be
dont worry that I am shattered from feeding every to hours
and on Monday this week he only took 6 ounces from 6.30 am through to 4pm I stopped weaning in the hope he would up his milk but he just refused it and cried.
He did a full check on Bailey Finally took a swab of his thrush which he has had since birth he is now 14 weeks and has had Five bottles of treatment and it just hasnt budged.
He also advised that he may not actually like milk and to continue weaning as he would get his nutrients from vege and rice and just let him take what milk he wants. Which Bailey is pleased about as he gets really excited for his vege bless him his arms and legs goes and he chomps like mad
I have a paed appointment booked for Tuesday for a full assessment into his thrush and his perhaps dislike for Milk.
Oh my Gp also mentioed that bailey was getting his first top two teeth
That would explain the constant dribbling and his fussyness at the mo he is only 14 weeks I can see them but they havent cut through yet How long do you recon it would take??
