Fewer poos?

Hello!

Am ebf my lo who is 5 weeks today. Up til about 3 days ago she pood about 3 or more times a day, now it is more like once every other day. Is it normal to slow down at this stage?

I'm worried it's constipation as I can see her pushing through the day and she has a lot of flatulence.

We have lots of wet nappies so not too worried about dehydration.

Anyone else's baby similar? xx

I'm behind you at 3 weeks but get around 4-6 poos per day. Maybe ask the health visitor?

Thanks Fliss I'll check with her, just changed a poo and it was all the right colour and everything, wonder if there's just not as much waste now? x

SR used to poo at every feed and about 5 weeks he stopped pooing at night and did fewer in the day. He also strains and had done since about 3 weeks, but his poo is completely liquid so I'm not site what he's straining.

Don't know if it's normal just that we're the same

Yes it's totally normal - I was worried when This happened to us. lO went from every nappy being dirty to going every few days, almost overnight, at about 6 weeks Xx

My LO is 4 weeks and has just started to slow down on the poo front. It has been as many as 6/7 a day, now it's down to about 3, and I can see definite straining now, where as I didn't befor. Poo's are still the same consistency though. I heard eventually fb babies can go down to just a few poo's a week, so maybe it's just a slow down towards that??
