Fertility appointment

Hi everyone I had my first appointment yesterday and she wants to do 2 u/s one with fluid to check my tubes just wondering what exactly do they do and also is it painful

Hi, I'm being sent for this too-hsg test. Do you know how long I'll have to wait? I've been told 2 or 3months before they even contact me to arrange an appointment. So annoying & worrying that time is running out too.

Hi Ladies, my hsg was a little while ago now but from what I remember it wasn't too painful just felt a bit crampy but it was over before I knew it. Take some paracetamol before you go in, it helps a little.

They use a speculum, just like a smear, then put a catheter in your cervix for the dye. You will feel some pressure but for me it was no worse then some period cramps.

I had a nurse let me squeeze her hand throughout if needed and she was chatting away to me to help me relax. She was very lovely and made the whole thing so much easier as I really don't like hospitals/medically things!

How long did it take to be done I'm back to see my consultant in 3 months she wants me to have bloods done on day 2&4 and also another scan to check my ovary's had my day 21 bloods done last month which was 78

I think I was waiting 2 or 3 months before the appointment came through, wait time probably varies in different areas though.

I got my next appointment through today I'm back to see the consultant on the 27th of Sept in the mean time I've got to have 2 blood tests and two scans done x
