apparently you can have identical twins that are differnt sexes, but its like really really rare - something to do with a chromosome problem or somethin.

lmao even tho identical twins are just one of them freak things you're better off being non identical cos the release of two eggs can be genetic!! i looked into it a lot lol, what with 13 sets of twins int he family and 3 sets of triplets

It is genetic. It has to run down the women in my family, which it does in mine. All the women in my family apart from one or two have had twins!

Actually you're not mad Alice (contrary to popular belief )

Its to do with the XX and XY chromomsomes, the male can take on the female chromosome but the girl twin will be left with no ovaries.

but 99.9% of the time identical twins are just that, identical
