Feeling baby move for the first time..

Im 17 weeks pregnant with my first baby, iv read in all my books that its usually around this time (or maybe later with your first) that u will feel some movement..

i dont think iv felt anything yet.. have lots of small twinges but nothing out of the ordinary..

where about is it that you feel the first movement? high up, or lower down? im just anxious for it to happen!

for first time mums i think its supposed to be about 18 weeks to 20something weeks so don't worry hun

Like Anna23 said, don't worry. It is normal for you not to feel any movements until around 20 weeks with your first. Give it time and you'll be being kicked black and blue!!

To start off with its normally lower down n then as baby grows bigger u can feel kicks n turns all over!

As a new mum.. you probably wont feel anything until about 18 or 19 weeks. But if you do feel anything that you think might be a bit of wind.. could very well be your baby wriggling. Feels like butterflies.. or rippling.. very small vibrations.. the movements get stronger.. that's the best part!

I have only just felt some feeling like bubbles bursting and it's inconsistent and still not 100% sure........

I'm on number 2 and still have limited kicking at 21 weeks....don't worry.

The bubbles will get stronger and then you'll know about it!

i was nearly 22 weeks with both mine before i could be 100% sure thats what i was feeling dont worry

i was exactly 17 weeks and 6 days.

I thought i had felt bubbles popping in my tummy but wernt sure. On this day i felt like a swish which gave me nervous butterfly feelings in my tummy but i dismissed it.

I then felt the same feeling the morning after - just a very quick one that left me sitting there wondering. Then that night i felt little kicks (or whatever) lower down. You sit there wondering if it is something but trust me you'll know. I am a first timer too and my friend felt kicks at 16 weeks, i was well jealous. But everyone is different!!
