Feel very emotional after laparoscopy-normal?

Hi,

I only had my lap two days ago so still v sore and tired along with stresses with the hospital care and lack of information given after etc but I just feel so emotional though and keep crying, is this normal, did anyone else feel like this after their op? I want to just snap out of it but I can't x

I just posted in your journal, I think any kind of op can leave you emotional and vulnerable and one that you've been waiting on for ages and with such high stakes is going to make you extra emotional. I hope you feel better soon, big hugs xx

Hey hun, i was so emotional after my lap and dye i wasnt prepared for how much i cried. I think its just the op itself and the relief that things have finally happend. Hope you are feeling better now and that your bfp cums along as quick as mine did.

I really was an emotional wreck but loads better now, am feeling pretty much all better. I really hope we get our bfp soon as I am worried about the endo coming back before we conceive x

Yes its understandable to be emotional. It does take a while to feel normal again. Was everything clear?

Hiya. No, I knew I had endometriosis before the op, so it was no surprise or shock that that's what they found. They removed what they could, some was in places where they couldn't remove as could cause more damage etc. I am dreading next AF as I have read the first one after lap can be very painful and heavy (even though I am used to that) xx

I felt emotional after mine, and my first period after was heavy but all worth it- 3 cycles later I fell pg

It does seem that lots of women get their bfps after a lap so I help it helps us aswell. Was your lap clear or did they find anything? Congrats on your pregnancy xx
