I knew It, I just knew that I couldn't get away with this delightful symptom free time I've been having. However this feel extreme. I'm desperate to know this is normal as I've not had anything like this yet and I'm now 8w 3.

So the background is this all started yesterday. Me and the OH were having a bad day so went our separate ways to cool off. Then in the middle of asda, alone, I have this overwhelming feeling of sickness and then I went really hot. It all got a bit much, I felt a bit light headed and it triggered some form of panic attack. Hence, upon getting home, I had a massive 2 hour melt down. I've recently lost someone very close to me and my niece is very ill and it just all became too much on top of the arguing with the other half.

I'm so lucky, my parents came to the rescue and (purely because I refused to) they located my OH and got him home. The rest of the day I just felt in a haze, though I ate and then slept for around 10 hours before I got up and came to work today.

The problem is today, I just can't stop feeling sick and I keep getting this awful feeling across my whole middle like a vice is being tightened, a bit like before you sick. but I haven't been sick. I still feel tired and this is just generally the worst I have felt and I'm trying not to panic that my episode yesterday has done any harm.

Are these pains/ feelings normal for others?

I am sorry you are feeling this rubbish. We all get a bit of this and that when it comes to pregnancy symptoms and some of us really suffer with it more the others. What you describe sounds really awful. I wonder whether it could be down to all the emotions from the bad day you were having? Get as much rest as you can and I hope you feel better in no time x

Thanks KHTW. Since writing that I have I have been throwing up so am hoping that it can be some sort of expulsion of all the stress. It's awkward being at work though where no one knows. I think I'm tying myself in knots. As I type this I realise how stupid I'm being but the vice feeling is just so awful. I'm getting a bit of backache with it so am hoping it's just all connected and I can hold out until my booking appointment tomorrow afternoon. I don't want to waste a doctor's time

Bless you, it sounds like stress and panic attacks to me, so hopefully nothing due to the baby, probably just made worse cos of the hormones and maybe morning sickness has kicked in. Hope you feel better soon x

Thank you ladies for responding. It really helped. I've just received a message from someone we visited over the weekend to say they've all been down with a sickness bug since so I may have copped to that on top of everything else! It's nice to know I'm not crazy though x

Hi HS...having experienced PTSD myself those feelings can be quite normal after a panic or emotional chaos because your whole body can go into a shock/meltdown and feeling sick and stomach aches can be part of that. I have researched into losing babies due to emotional distress when i was last pregnant due to having the PTSD and i didnt find anything to back up my fears, so i suspect all you are feeling is fallout from the stress and your baby will be fine
