Currently combination feeding Noah but he's mainly breastfed with about 3 formula bottles in a 24hr period.

Over the past 36hrs I've noticed a decrease in how much he's drinking. On the boob he's spending less time on it and also seems to struggle staying latched on the right side (made another thread about this) and when he's having a formula bottle he's drinking about 60ml compared to his usual 120ml. Should I be worried or will it pass? He was 4 weeks early and health visitor said he can't afford to lose weight. Should I tell someone now or wait to see if it carries on?

Some days they feed less than others, they also get more efficient as they get older so they do feed for less time. Just keep an eye on it, if he seems very sluggish and it continues then maybe speak to your health visitor!!

I would give it another 24 hours and if he's still only taking half his normal feed I'd give the HV a call for advice. She may have a suggestion that might help.

I was gonna say same as mrs n, they can get more efficient fairly quick, and if he's getting more from you then he'll take less bottle. When is he due to get weighed??

He's next getting weighed on 7th April, not sure if I could leave it that long if he carries on taking less

call mw tomorrow hun, it cant hurt to ask
