HELP my little man is still wanting food every 2 hours. He is gaining about 1 lb a week he is 11.4 now. He was on sma but made him constipated, then tried cow and gate 1 and fine on that so thought i would try the one for hungryer babies but that made him consipated yesterday, so i got the cow and gate comfort for sensitive tummies and trying that today.

Will this two hour feed end? any sugestions? he takes about 4 oz a time every 2 hours.

You could try giving him another oz in the bottle or put him on hungier baby milk...

Ask your hv if your worried

Sorry just read the bit about the hungier baby milk.... erm all i can think of is giving him more milk

Ive tried hungry baby milk makes him constipated the cow and gate one.
He wont take anymore oz's.

My HV does not know what to suggest, i spoke to her yesterday.

I've done a lot of research on this as we're trying a change from SMA Gold to C&G Premium.

From what I can tell the Comfort is a lot thicker so you may need to use a bigger size teat but it may stodge him up a bit and hopefully help him last longer between feeds.
He does sound like a hungrier baby though, my baby is on 3/4oz every 3/4rs and was 8lb6oz at birth, 9lb7oz at 2 weeks and 10lb8oz at 4 weeks

Have a look at this, there are reviews on all baby milks

Good Luck

as hes on formula, could you not give him boiled water inbetween feeds, this could take out the 2 hourly feeds...

He wont take water he pulls a face and spits it out. He has also started only taking 2oz in the day instead of his 4oz. He wakes up every 2 hours wanting food should i make him wait?

my eldest was like this when i stopped bf at about 4 weeks - i made him wait for the 4hrs (well 3.5 really) it only took a day and he took more at each feed and settled in between - sorry i cant remember how many oz's - maybe 4 i thingk (it was 13 years ago) but i would def. try not to give bottles every 2 hrs - maybe everyone else will think i was cruel but i thought it had become like a snack - cojnstant topping up rather than a proper meal - hope this helps

Thanks, well with the help of a dummy he managed 4 hours and drank all his bottle he could have taken more. I'm going to keep this up.
