Hi,

Can anyone advise on extreme fatigue? I am 41 years old and appreciate the fact I am fairly old. I am 22 weeks pregant and completely exhausted. A daytime nap means a sleep for 3 hours. However much sleep I get, it's not enough. My brain is mush and addled and I know I am being rubbish at my job which makes me feel guilty.
I have had blood tests and everything is fine. I just can't seem to get over the afternoon tiredness which sets in about 2pm. I am supposed to be feeling better now but have to say I am more tired than in the 1st trimester.

I don't really have anywhere to sleep other than in the car. Are there any suppliments that might help.

Txs
Sara

Hi there,

Its not just your age trust me!! I start to wither around 2pm, and its a killer when im at work especially!

When im at home, I do nap, because my toddler goes to bed then too, and somedays I could sleep for 3 hours too, if he would let me, but he wakes up before that long!

There isnt anything you can take for it unfortunately as far as im aware, but try and take some comfort that your certainly not alone! :rotfl:

Im 28 and feel exactly the same... in 1st Tri I HAD to have a nap come 3 or I wouldn't be fit for anything for the rest of the night.. I had a few weeks where I could skip my afternoon nap but now its back and I have to have at least a lie down in front of the telly... I feel guilty having to do it specially at this time of year as I have loads to be getting on with but if u can just do as your body is telling you.. if you need a nap and can then have one. You will feel much worse for it if you dont!!

Oh I'm glad it's not just me. To be honest I thought it was my age too. I just zonk out, and if I don't sleep I get a stinky headache. I also get quite ratty too......

Time to catch some Zzzzs

Me too

Im 39 and im finding it harder this time than when i was pregnant with tia :(

In fact shes just gone down now so i think im going to join her for an hour or so
