Family Allowance

Anyone know how long family allowance/child benefit takes to come through? I applied before x-mas but still havent heard anything? Also anyone know how much it is every week?

Child benefit for first child is 20.30 and any other children it's 13.40 x

My child benefit only took just over a week but it was in my bank before i got the letter, its £80 a month x
